Notes“This is one of the papers from the special issue of Aquatic Invasions on ‘Transoceanic Dispersal of Marine Life from Japan to North America and the Hawaiian Islands as a Result of the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami of 2011.’” (Co-Editors’ Note). This article is an introduction to the special issue of Aquatic Invasions. It summarizes the largest examples of tsunami debris found on the American Pacific coast and recounts the discovery of many new Japanese species identified as a result of research.
