Notes“There are many geologic hazards associated with development on sand dunes. These include wind erosion and deposition, water erosion and flooding from storm waves and rip currents, water erosion and flooding from tsunamis, and contamination of freshwater aquifers with associated pollution of beaches and rivers.” (p.436) Lists areas vulnerable to coastal hazards due to unwise development in dune areas.
