NotesNOAA seems to have an earlier version of this report (their version, Dec. 1997) on their website as the source for the online copy. The team studying Chinook salmon felt that for the Oregon Coast this species is not in danger of extinction, nor thought to become extinct "in the forseeable future" (p.249). Appendix D gives the known history of hatchery releases.
