Notes“The study was conducted in order to obtain some understanding of the hydrologic characteristics of streamflow under dry weather conditions, and from this knowledge develop some means for prediction of seasonal-low streamflow quantities .” (from the Abstract) The author developed a “Probability Graph” for predicting low-water yield and gives methods for applying his model to other streams. Table 2 gives “the minimum [predicted] water yield that may be expected for any reasonable-selected frequency. For example, on the Alsea River at Tidewater, Oregon, one may predict a water yield as low as 67 .5 cubic feet per second once every five years .” (p.6)
